Tommy Louis Matney, Jr., 41, of Glenpool, died Thursday at St. John Medical Center.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 pm Monday, at Smith Funeral Chapel.

Burial will follow at s under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

He was born March 11, 1951, in Sapulpa. A lifelong Sapulpa resident, he was employed by the 7-11 Company, served during the Vietnam War in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Church of God.

Survivors include his wife, Rita; daughters, Lori Matney of Missouri, DeAnna Bradshaw of Tulsa, Eva Connings of Missouri, Jeanette Colley of Glenpool, Amy Taylor of Mead, and Debra Mondier of the home; son, Tommy L. Matney of the home; brothers, Billy, Bobby, Buddy and Jerry, all of Sapulpa; and six grandchildren.

Funeral services for Tommy Louis Matney, Sr., were held today at 2 pm in the Smith Funeral Chapel with Rev. Andrew Young officiating.

Burial followed at South Heights Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

Full military rites were given at the committal service by the Sapulpa Veterans organizations.

Serving as casket bearers were Arich Warren, J.B. Warren, Mike Bruton, Floyd Smith, Mickey Sorrell and Johnny Harp.

Honorary bearers were Leion Gilbert and Charly Brumley.

Mr. Matney, a lifelong area resident, died Thursday at the St. John Medical Center in Tulsa.
