Mayberry Rites Held Wednesday
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the First Baptist
Church of Depew for Delbert R. Mayberry, 56, who died Monday in a Tulsa
Hospital.
Born in Bristow on Dec. 10, 1916 Mayberry was reared in Creek County.
He was married to Nadine Gilreath and the couple made their home in
Depew for the past 20 years. He operated the Mayberry garage and service
station until poor health forced him to retire.
Survivors include his wife Nadine, three daughters, Mrs. Linda Osborne
and Mrs. Reta Lane both of Bristow, and Mrs. Thelma McQuain, Depew,
one son, Olen Mayberry, Depew, four brothers, Bill of Depew, Richard
and Odie both of Kellyville, and Gene of Clinton, Iowa; four sisters,
Mrs. Mattie Show and Mrs. Wilma Harwood both of Kellyville, Mrs. Rena
Luster, Sapulpa, and Mrs. Sylvia Hust, Muskogee and seven grandchildren.
Rev. Harry K. Dodd officiated, and interment was at Oakdale Cemetery
with Dunaway Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Mayberry Dies in Tulsa, Rites Thursday
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the First Baptist
Church of Depew for Mrs. Nadine Ellen Mayberry, 55, who died Tuesday
in a Tulsa Hospital.
Mrs. Mayberry had been hospitalized since Sept. 13, when she was injured
in a car-train collision in Depew. Her husband Delbert died shortly
after the crash. [ She died 9-28-1971].
Rev. Harry Dodd will officiate at the service and interment will be
at the Depew Cemetery with Dunaway Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Casket bearers will be Emmitt Dykes, Earl Witt, Gordon Gemmill, Kenneth
Smith Jr., Andy Hill, and Cecil Parrick.
Mrs. Mayberry was born in Depew on Oct. 23, 1915, and has been a Depew
resident all her life. She and Delbert Mayberry were married in Sapulpa
on April 16, 1934.
Survivors include, one son Olen of Depew, three daughters, Mrs. Thelma
McQuain, Depew, Mrs. Linda Osborne and Mrs. Reta Lane, both of Bristow,
four sisters, Mrs. Lea Stafford, Shamrock, Mrs. Ludie Barrett, Stroud,
Mrs. Agnes Castro, Agnew, CA, and Mrs. Susie Pappas, Portland, OR. Three
brothers, James W. Gilreath, Bristow, Carman C. Gilreath, Skiatook and
Frank Gilreath, California, and seven grandchildren.
