Joseph "Joe" Arch Mays, 63, Depew, died Sunday, Sept. 10, 1995

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Hutchins-Maples Funeral Chapel with the Rev. F. A. King officiating. Burial will be in Bristow City Cemetery, directed by Hutchins-Maples Funeral Home.

He was born Feb. 5, 1932 in Westville to Roy R. and Pearl Lucille Mays.

He married Alice Mooney in May 1985. She preceded him in death in December, 1991. He married Lois Bernice Starkey in 1994.

He attended Bristow schools. He lived in Depew for the past year after he moved from Bristow. He was a carpenter for Mid-America Construction and retired in 1994.

Survivors include his wife, Lois, of the home; a son, Chris Raymond Mays, Tulsa; two daughters, Bonnie Berrera, Bristow, and Josephine Mayes, Hobart; a brother, Sam Mays, Oilton; five sisters, Rignal Coy, Tahlequah, Faye Peacock and Nettie Little, both of Bristow, Mary Alice Williams, Owasso, and Beula Joseph, Kellyville; step-children Kathy Catalano, Tom Wilson, Traci Gazawy, Jay Gazaway, Jesse Gazaway, Larry Reynolds and Michael Reynolds; three grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, a brother and a sister.
