Cecil Clifford McCall 88, a longtime resident of
Sapulpa, Okla. passed away Monday, Aug. 4, 2008, at
Ranch Terrace Nursing Home in Sapulpa.
He was born Dec. 26, 199, in Stroud, Okla. to John
H. and Clara E. (Hodge) McCall. On May 24, 1940, he
married Rachel Strain.
Cecil Served in the United States Navy during World
War II and was a retired electrician. He was a
member of the International Brotherhood of
Electrical Workers, Local Union 584. He started his
career in 1946, and retired in 1982. His favorite
pastime was tinkering and redesigning things in his
garage. He enjoyed working with anything he thought
he could make better. Cecil is preceded in death by
his brothers; Clarence, Everett and Charles and his
sisters; Ruth and Elsie. He is survived by his
loving wife of 68 years, Rachel; his sister Hazel
Wilcher of Sapulpa; sons; Ronald McCall and Norma of
Glenpool, Dewain McCall and Gladys of Sapulpa and
Phillip McCall and Tina of Mannford; nine
grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 10 great
great grandchildren.
Funeral Service was 10 a.m. Fri., Aug. 8, 2008, at
Green Hill Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charlie
Moss Officiating. Burial followed at
Green
Hill Memorial Gardens. Casket bearers included
Cecil's grandsons, Mike McCall, Jim McCall, Mike
McCall, Tim McCall, Tony McCall and Craig McCall.
Honorary bearer will be Bruce McCall.
Green Hill Funeral Home in Sapulpa was in charge of
arrangements.
