Services for Virgil Eugene McMaster, Sr., will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in South Heights Cemetery, directed by Smith Funeral Home. He died Friday, July 7, 1995 at his home. 

McMaster was born June 8, 1932 in Sioux Falls, SD. He had been a resident here the past three years after moving from Sibley, IA. He was a retired carpenter. 

McMaster was of the Baptist faith. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy and served in the Korean Conflict. 

Survivors include his wife, Mary; sons, Virgil Jr. of Tulsa, Shane of Sibley; daughters, Carla Mink, Sapulpa, Cathy Putoff of Sioux Falls, SD; brothers Melvin of Gary, IN, William of Sioux Falls; sisters, Lillian Arndf of South Dakota, Lula Robinson of Auburn, CA, Wilma DeBudk of Omaha, NE; 10 grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. 

Two additional great-grandchildren are expected any time.

Casket bearers will be Mac McMaster, George Arends, Craig McMaster, Dean Mink, Randy Mink, Bill McMaster, Aaron Tiffey and Robert Rosendaul.
