Updated: 06 Sep 2009 Sapulpa Herald Elsie O'Brien Dies Sunday Mrs. Elsie O'Brien, 79, 1600 S Main, died Sunday night at Bartlett Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was born April 10, 1893, in Roper, Kan., moving to Sapulpa in 1931 from Kansas. She was the widow of Willis H. O'Brien. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Clarence Hopkins and Mrs. Jess Harmon, both of Sapulpa; one sister, Sadie Shoaf, Topeka, Kan.; one grandson, Willis C. Hopkins, Kellyville; and 4 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 pm in the Smith Funeral Chapel with Rev. T. Howard Allen officiating. Interment will be South Heights Cemetery under direction of Smith Funeral Home. Family will headquarter at the home of Jess Harmon on Teel Road. Pallbearers will be Buddy Nelson, Curt Brumbley, Maynard Love, George Denham and Harry McCarty. |
