Algin Oldham Dies Thursday

A Kellyville resident since he was a child, Algin Oldham, 80, died late Thursday at Bartlett Memorial Hospital. He had been hospitalized July 2.

He was born Dec 3, 1889, at Buck Creek, KY, and came to Kellyville in 1905. He was a Marine Corps veteran of the World War I and a retired gasoline refinery machinist. He was a member of Kellyville Baptist Church.

His survivors are his wife, Esther; a son, Arthur Oldham, Roswell, NM; a daughter Mrs. Opal Phelan, Tulsa; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren.

And also seven brothers, Oscar, Truth or Consequences, NM; Luther, Albuquerque, NM; Walter, Kellyville; Ed, Capulin, NM; Charlie Velarde, NM; Ralph, Pasadena, CA; Lewis, New Carlisle, IN; six sisters, including Mrs. Della Huffine, Kellyville; Mrs. Jessie Wallace, Capulin and four in California.

Owen Funeral Home will announce service arrangements.

Algin Oldham; Rites Monday

Funeral services for Algin Oldham, 80, will be at 2 pm Monday at Owen Funeral Chapel.

The Rev. N. E. Holland will officiate with interment in Kellyville Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Earl Virgin, Max Staiger, Orvil Ennis, Gaylon Hall, Cecil Luper, and Avery Kelly. Honorary pallbearers include Berry Dean, Rufus Jones, Bob Lovell, Jack Edmiston, harve Romine and John Romine.

Oldham, a Kellyville resident, died Thursday.
