Updated: 06 Sep 2009 [source not stated] Funeral services for Charlie Packard, of Oklahoma City, who died there Friday, June 27, 1974 after a short illness were conducted from Chapel of Martin Funeral Home, Sunday, June 30, 1974, at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Wayne Ivey officiating. Burial was in the Red Hill Cemetery, Hammon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma. Mr. Packard was born September 29, 1924, in Bristow, OK. He was 49. He was a former Hammon resident, and was employed at the Burns Flat Aribase for sometime and presently was employed at Tinker Air Force Base in the Motor Pool division, where he had been for the past seven years. He served with the paratroops during World War II, where he was wounded twice in the Pacific Theatre. He was a member of the American Legion. Survivors include a son, Charlie Ray Packard of Ada; 3
step children, Dannie Davis and Lollie Dozier of Oklahoma City and Larry Davis
of Ada; his mother Mrs. Price Packard of Hammon; a sister, Mrs. J. R. Lowery of
Hammon, and 4 grandchildren. |
