Genevieve Kathryn Hickman Parker, 80, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., died Saturday, Feb 17, 2001, at her home in Oakland Hills. 

Mrs. Parker was born Oct 18, 1920, in Drumright, Okla., the daughter of Frank Robert and Ruth Virginia LeFevre Hickman. She had retired from the customer service department of Sears at Landmark Center in Alexandria and then worked in customer service at Colony House Furniture in Arlington. 

She was a 1938 graduate of Central High School in Tulsa, Okla., and attended Oklahoma A&M College and the University of Arkansas. 

She was a member of Highland United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, and Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority. She was a member of AARP, the Southern Belle Homemakers Club, the Women’s Auxiliary of Alderton-Dawson American Legion Post 60, and the Wednesday Bridge Group at Coolfont, all in Berkeley Springs. 

She was married to Norbert Allen Parker for 56 years. Mr. Parker died Dec 15, 1998. 

Surviving are two daughters, Jacquelyn S. Propst and K. Brooke Parker, both of Berkeley Springs; a brother, Frank Robert Hickman Jr. of Tulsa, Okla.; and a grandson. 

A memorial service will be at 11 am Thursday at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, Berkeley Springs, with the Rev. Michael W. Bennett officiating. Burial will be private.
