Virginia (Cook) Patrick of Sapulpa died March 14, 1997 at age 78. Mrs. Patrick was born Oct 29 1919 in St. Louis, MO to Thomas and Bessie Cook. She graduated from Sapulpa High School in 1936, where she was known
fondly as "Cookie". She married Clyde Patrick on Nov 27, 1941 in Sapulpa and they lived here 55 wonderful years.
Virginia is survived by husband, Clyde Patrick and their three sons Fred Patrick of Grove, Okla.; Tom Patrick of Bakersfield, Calif.; and Clyde "Pat" Patrick of Saint Augustine, Fla.; daughters-in-law Maggie Patrick of Grove and Nancy Patrick of Bakersfield; and grandchildren Sidney and Stephanie Patrick of San Diego, Calif.; and Scott and Todd Patrick of Grove.
She was proceeded in death by brothers Thomas Cook and sister Nina Slade. Judge Patrick plans to reside in Grove with son Fred and his family, following the funeral.
Virginia was active in the Sapulpa Public Schools as a student in the 1930s and as a PTA parent at Jefferson Elementary, Washington Jr. High and Sapulpa High School. She was a Cub Scout pack leader and also served many years as church secretary at the First Presbyterian Church in Sapulpa, where she and her family have been members for nearly 50 years.
Funeral services will be held at 4 pm Monday at the First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. John Nelson officiating. Burial will be in
South Heights Cemetery in Sapulpa, Okla.
