OKLAHOMA CITY – Doyle B. Pitts, 67, of Tulsa, died Monday at Veterans’ Hospital, Oklahoma City.

Services will be 10 am Thursday at Smith Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Gary Howard officiating.

Burial will be 2 pm in Warner Cemetery, Warner, Okla.

Mr. Pitts was born July 17, 1920, in Dover, Ark. and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He lived in the Tulsa-Sapulpa area for 45 years. Mr. Pitts was employed as a carpenter.

He was preceded in death by sons Doyle and Steve.

Survivors include wife Bennie; daughters Brenda Brooner, Paula Cooper, Donna Shields and Angie Delaney, all of Tulsa; sisters Bernice Lahman, Marie Humphrey, Alina Hallum, Maxine Meyer, Margaret Tulis, Jewell Perry, Eula Mae Jenkins, Bennie Celindra and Thelma Ruth Dooley; and eight grandchildren.
