Ennis "Mr. Lovely" Polk, 86, of San Angelo passed away Sunday, Dec. 14, 1997, in a local nursing center. 

Service was at 1 pm Tuesday, Dec 16, at St. Paul Baptist Church with Dr. G. E. DeBose and the Rev. H. G. Gates officiating. Burial followed in Fairmount Cemetery. Arrangements were by Starks Funeral Home. 

Mr. Polk was born Dec. 11, 1911, in Kellyville. He married Fairerlene Robinson of Houston in August 1985. She preceded him in death on June 12, 1996. He retired as the owner and operator of a wrecker service business. 

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Jo Ann Martin and Louis Martin of San Angelo; his sister and her husband, Emma and Lee Andrew Linwood of Avinger; five grandchildren, Michael Polk and Jeffery Martin, both of San Angelo, Louis Martin Jr. of Austin, Gerald Martin of Orlando, Fla., and Angela Anderson of Severen, Md.; and eight great-grandchildren.
