KELLYVILLE – Gilbert E. Ponder, 73, Kellyville, died today at his home.
Services are scheduled for 10:30 am Monday at First Baptist Church of
Kellyville, with the Rev. Danny Prazee officiating.
Burial will be at Kellyville Cemetery
under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
He was born May 23, 1916, in Tulsa and lived in Kellyville since 1952. Mr.
Ponder served in the U.S. Army during World War II and married Mildred Anderson
in 1943 in Topeka, Kan.
He was employed by Sun Oil Company Refinery for 30 years and was a member of the
first Baptist church of Kellyville.
Survivors include wife Mildred of the home; son Gary Ponder of Kellyville;
daughter Sharon Olansen of Kellyville; sisters Ora Williams of Bristow, Mary
McFarland of Tulsa and Delores Cannon of Mounds; six grandchildren; and one
great-grandchild.
