George W. Porter, 74, 116 W. Cleveland, died Sunday at Doctor's Hospital in Tulsa.

Funeral services will be 10:30 am Tuesday at Smith Funeral Chapel with Russell Casey an Gerald Rendel officiating.

Burial will follow at South Heights Cemetery.

Mr. Porter was born May 8, 1916, in Fruita, Colo., and married Margaret Soliday in Kiefer in 1939. He attended the Sapulpa First Christian Church.

He was part owner of the Porter Straight Instrument Company, and retired this year. He lived in Sapulpa for the last 50 years after moving here from Colorado.

Survivors include daughters Kay Dunbar and Sue Porter, both of Sapulpa; son George Porter of Sapulpa; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Services for George Porter, 116 W. Cleveland, were held today at Smith Funeral Chapel with Russell Casey and Gerald Rendel officiating.

Burial was at South Heights Cemetery.

Casket bearers were Steven Porter, Ryan Porter, Ted Todd, Reese Cole, Paul Dunbar and Paul Dunbar Jr.

Honorary casket bearers were Richard Soliday, Karl Soliday and Jerry Bush.
