D. E. Potter Dies Friday
Don Eugene Potter, 42, Liberty Glass Employee, died at his home, 421
S. Oak, Friday night of an apparent heart attack.
He was born Dec. 12, 1929 northwest of Sapulpa and attended school at
Pickett Prairie, Kellyville and Mounds, entering the army his sophomore
year.
He was a member of First Baptist Church.
He was employed at the loading dock at Liberty.
Survivors are his wife, Julia of the home; four step-sons, Clyde
Smith, serving overseas; Tommy Smith, El Paso, Tex.; Lewis Smith,
Corona, Calif.; Jerry Smith, Cerritos, Calif.; his mother, Mrs. Bertha
Potter, Sand Springs; a sister, Mrs. Maureen Patterson, Sapulpa and four
brothers, Monte Potter, Indiana; Marion Potter, Tulsa; Kenneth and
Phillip Potter, California.
Funeral services will be at 2 pm Tuesday at Smith Funeral chapel with
the Rev. Gary Cook officiating. Interment will be in Green Hill Memorial
Gardens.
