Mrs. Glenda Jane (Janie) Powell, Route 1, died Tuesday in her home east of Sapulpa, the victim of an apparent homicide.

Services will be 10:30 am Friday at Faith Holiness Church with the Rev. Charles Buchanan officiating.

Burial will be at Green Hills Memorial Gardens under the direction of Owen Funeral Home.

Casket bearers will be Steve Reed, ??ife Crayton, Erin Crayton, Don Crayton, Jr., Brett Gleason and Billy Weing. Honorary bearer will be Billy ??ath.

The casket will not be opened at the services.

Mrs. Powell lived in the Sapulpa area for the past 45 years. She was born Oct 7, 1938, in Stillwater.

She was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp., and was a supervisor technician for the Lowrance Electronics Company in Tulsa for the past 20 years.

She also was a member of the Opportunity Heights Baptist Church of Tulsa.

Survivors include mother Fayona Crayton of Sapulpa; sons Patrick Estabrook and Bryan Powell, both of Longmont, Colo.; daughter Mrs. Alissa Cue of Sapulpa; brothers Don Crayton of Conley, Texas, and Delbert Crayton of Tulsa; sisters Bonnie Heath of Sapulpa; Evelyn Reed of Tulsa and Francis Weing of Siloam Springs, Ark., and two grandchildren.

Services for Glenda “Janie” Powell are today at the Faith Holiness Church with the Rev. Charles Buchanan officiating.

Military rites were given by Sapulpa Veterans organizations.

Mrs. Powell, a life-long Sapulpa area resident, was found Tuesday at her home, an apparent victim of homicide.
