Mr. Elmer Guy Poyner, 83, 1310 E. Thompson, died today at Bartlett Memorial Medical Center. Services are pending with Owen Funeral Home.

Mr. Poyner was born April 13, 1904, in Alsuma, Okla. He lived in Sapulpa since 1965, moving here from Kiefer.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Kiefer and the Sapulpa Campers Club.

Survivors include wife Alice; daughter Mary Lou Bounds of Sapulpa; and one grandchild.

Services for Mr. Elmer Guy Poynor, 1310 E. Thompson, will be 10:30 am Saturday at Green Hills Mausoleum Chapel with the Rev. Ted Tucker officiating.

Burial will follow at Green Hills Memorial Gardens under the direction of Owen Funeral Home.

Honorary casket bearers will be Hope Norton, Clifford Tucker, Carl Henderson, Roger Henderson, Kenneth Pogue and Robert J. Basinger.

The body will lie in state at the funeral home until 9:30 am Saturday, but the casket will not be opened at the service.

Mr. Poynor, a resident of Sapulpa since 1965, died Thursday at Bartlett Memorial Medical Center.
