MUSKOGEE - Former Sapulpan Dayne W. Ramey, 84, of Muskogee died Tuesday in Muskogee.

Services are scheduled for 2 pm Friday at Trinity United Methodist Church, Muskogee, with the Rev. Dr. Vernon Lawrence officiating.

Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Muskogee, under the direction of Petering Funeral Home, Muskogee.

Mr. Ramey was born April 11, 1904, in Westville, Indian Territory. He grew up in Sapulpa and graduated from Sapulpa High School. He married Eunice Brown in Sapulpa and the couple later moved to Muskogee with the Jewel Tea Co.

Mrs. Ramey died in October, 1969. He married Frances Fisher in 1971.

Mr. Ramey was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, where he served on the administrative board and worked with the church youth. He also was a Boy Scout leader.

He was preceded in death by a son, Dr. Dayne Ramey, in 1988.

Survivors include wife Frances; daughter Mildred Tackett of Checotah, Okla.; son Dr. Joseph H. of Hermleigh, Texas; two step-daughters; 16 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
