Lelis W. Record, 85, died Saturday, May 13, 1995.

Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Pickett Chapel, south of Sapulpa, directed by Smith Funeral Home. Burial will be 2 p.m. at the Fort Gibson National Cemetery. 

He was born Nov. 4, 1909 to Jeanette and Arthur Record. 

He was a World War II veteran. He graduated from Chilocco Indian School and Bacone College. He farmed the family allotment for 50 years.

Survivors include a brother, Alfred Record, Sapulpa; and four sisters, Mae Cummings, Coalgate, Julina Hughes, Sapulpa, Mary Fields, Oklahoma City, and Anita Harris, Plainview, Kans.

Pallbearers will be Charles Record, Larry Record, Lester Berryhill, Dean Hughes, Kerry Record and Kirby Record. The family will gather at 11 Woodlane Road.

Funeral services for Lelis W. Record were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Pickett Chapel Indian United Methodist Church with the Revs. Julienne Judd, Roy Bigpond and Earl Dunson officiating. Burial followed in Fort Gibson National Cemetery, Ft. Gibson, under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
