James M. Redding, 71, died Friday, Oct. 6, 1995 at his home. 

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Smith Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Don Price will officiate. Interment will be in Green Hill Memorial Gardens with Smith Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. 

Mr. Redding was born March 4, 1924 in Sapulpa and had lived in Sapulpa all of his life. 

He was a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Army. He married Norma June Potter Nov. 8, 1948 in Sapulpa and was a member of Sapulpa’s First United Methodist church. 

He was the owner of Redding Oil Co. and worked in electronics after he sold the company. He was preceded in death by his brother, Harry Redding.

In addition to his wife, survivors include two sons, jerry Frank Arnold of Tulsa and James L. Redding of Glenpool; two daughters, Jama Lou Moore of Tonkawa and Sherry Lynn Redding of Pryor; two brothers, Edwin Wallace Redding Jr. of Sapulpa and Tommy Redding of New Orleans, La.; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.

Services for James M. Redding were scheduled for 2 p.m. today in the Smith Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Don Price officiating. Burial was to be in Green hill Memorial Gardens. 

Casket bearers are Charlie Gwenberg, Darrell McKinley, Tommy Elliott, Buryl Williams, Dean McManam and D.A. Clement. 

Mr. Redding, a life-long Sapulpa resident, died Friday. Smith Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
