Carl C. Reed, 79, died Sunday, March 26, 1995 at Bartlett Memorial Medical Center. 

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Smith Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Lawrence Gregory and Larry Schiller officiating. Burial will follow at 3 p.m. in the Keota Cemetery in Keota.

Born Sept. 9, 1915 in Alma, Ark., Reed was a retired truck driver. He was a member of the Church of God International and had been a Sapulpa resident for the last 25 years, moving to Sapulpa from Modesto, Calif. He was active with the Sapulpa Senior Citizens. 

Survivors include his wife, Doris Reed of Sapulpa; three sons, Carl Reed Jr. of Tulsa, Kenneth Reed of Washington and Frank Reed of Modesto; two daughters, Carol Reed of Modesto and Beulah Schiller of Oilton; a brother, Claude Reed of Oregon; four sisters, Bessie Hudson, Edna Hopkins, Bennie Simmons and Gladys Rebo, all of California; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Two step-sons, Charles F. Gleason of Sapulpa and Mark Gleason of Tulsa, should have been listed among the survivors of Carl C. Reed in Wednesday’s obituary. The Herald was not provided this information. Burial will be in Keota Cemetery.
