Sunday, February 8, 2009, Robert H. "Bob" Reed departed this
world and was reunited with Mary Jac, the love of his life, to
spend eternity together with their Lord Jesus.
Bob was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and raised in Sapulpa,
Oklahoma. He graduated from Classen High School in Oklahoma
City. Bob served his country as a Special Agent in Counter
Intelligence Corps in WWII and Korea. After WWII, he returned to
the University of Oklahoma until he was recalled to the service
in Korea.
Bob was a varsity athlete in football and basketball and is an
Eagle Scout with Palm. He was a charter member of Charles W.
Anderson Lodge #1413 A.F. & A.M., Scottish Rite Bodies and
Alzafar Shrine. He was Past President of Alzafar Press Corps and
the Antique Carriage Unit.
Bob is survived by a daughter, Cynthia of Arlington, Texas; a
son, Bruce and wife Joyce, their children, Jared and Katlin of
Big Rapids, Michigan and Joshua of Houston, Texas; a sister,
Roberta Reed Sutton of Evergreen, Colorado.
Bob was a salesman, enthusiastic and full of life. He had a
special relationship with his customers and he will miss them.
Masonic services will be conducted under the auspices of Charles
W. Anderson Lodge #1413 A.F. & A.M. Interment with Military
Honors will follow in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to
Shriners Hospitals.
