ANDOVER, Kan. - Ruth Alberta Reynolds, 75, Wichita, Kan., died Tuesday at Andover (Kan.) Health Care Center.

Services will be 10 am Friday at St. Vincent de Paul Church, Andover.

Burial will be at Wichita, Kan., under the direction of Downey-Lahey Mortuary.

She was born July 17, 1914, in Chanute, Kan. She moved to Sapulpa in 1926 and resided here until 1946. She was a member of the first Camp Fire Girls in Sapulpa and graduated from Sapulpa High School in 1932.

She was a recipient of the NCCJ A. Price Woodward Jr. Award, which is given in Wichita, Kan., for outstanding contributions to the Wichita community in educating for brotherhood. She served three years as the first president of Monica House, a residential program for adjudicated teen-age girls.

She served as YWCA Board of Directors president and had been an active member of the Women’s Aeronautical Association since 1947. She served as president of both Wichita and North Wichita Deanery Councils of Catholic Women. She also served on the Wichita Diocesan Commission for Christian Unity.

Survivors include husband Eugene J. Reynolds; mother Ruth Stevens of Sapulpa; son Shane Reynolds of Wichita; brothers Edward M. Finegan of Tulsa and James M. Finegan of Sapulpa; four grandchildren.
