Millard Rhodes, 79, of Sapulpa, died Saturday at Veterans' Medical Center, Muskogee.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10 am Tuesday at Green Hills Mausoleum Chapel with the Rev. Ed Yarger officiating.

Burial will follow at Green Hills Memorial Gardens under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

He was born Feb 8, 1912, in Ardmore, and had lived in Sapulpa for the last 20 years after moving from Tulsa. He retired from Riley Southwest in 1974 where he worked as a machinist. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of the Sapulpa Disabled American Veterans and Oddfellows Lodge in Tulsa. Mr. Rhodes was preceded in death by one grandchild.

Survivors include wife, Jessie; son Earl Lee Boren of Mexico; daughter Paula Chasteen of Broken Arrow; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Mr. Rhodes, a Sapulpa resident for the past 20 years, died Saturday at Veterans Hospital in Muskogee.
