Rosie Rice Dies at 78

Mrs. Rosie S. Rice, 78, died Saturday morning at Bartlett Memorial Hospital. Her home was in Kellyville but for the past several months she had been living at Pleasant Manor Nursing Home.

She was born Feb 27, 1894 in Tyler County, West Virginia, and had been a brusher in a pottery plant and a practical nurse. She was a member of Free Holiness church, Kellyville.

Survivors are three sons, Robert, Glen, and Arthar of East Liverpool, Ohio; four daughters, Delores Harwood, Kellyville; Leona Emerick, Clarion, Pa.; Mrs. Ruby Fair, Mrs. Ada Wolfe, East Liverpool; 20 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren; a brother, Clarence Brewer, Sisterville, West Virginia; and a sister, Lillie Simmons, Newell, West Virginia.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 am Monday at Kellyville Free Holiness Church with the Rev. Vernie Edwards officiating.

Pallbearers will be H.C. Carmichael, Theodore Harwood, John Romine, Leon Romine, Avery Kelly and Jack Edmiston.

The body will be sent Monday afternoon to East Liverpool for additional services and interment. Owen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
