RIPLEY FUNERAL FOR TWO O'CLOCK ON NEXT SUNDAY
Many Relatives From Other Parts of Oklahoma Coming
Masonic Services Saturday Night
The funeral services over George W. Ripley, pioneer Sapulpan who died of heart failure yesterday afternoon at the court house, will be held Sunday afternoon at two o'clock according to arrangements as now made. Many relatives in Oklahoma and from other states are expected to be here for the funeral and one brother, James Ripley, is already in Sapulpa.
George Ripley was a member of the McAlester Consistory of Scottish Rite Masons and it is expected that a delegation from McAlester will come here to take part in the services. It is planned by the local members of the consistory to hold the consistory services at midnight Saturday night.
The death of Uncle George, as he was familiarly known to all Sapulpans, coming as it did with the death of the Mayor of the city who had so recently taken up the reins of office, has cast a gloom over the city and Sunday afternoon both funerals are to be held, will see the entire town turned out to do honor to two citizens whose roots in the civic life of the city were wide and deep.

Many Relatives of Uncle George Ripley are Here
The funeral of Uncle George Ripley will be held tomorrow afternoon at two o'clock in the North M. E. Church of which he was one of the oldest members not only in point of age but in point of actual service in the organization.
Reb. Lemmon will have charge of the services and the funeral will be attended by hundreds of old friends. Uncle George was as much of a landmark in Sapulpa as the old stone hotel he built so
many years ago and it is characteristic of the man that a few minutes before he died he had completed the work he has been doing all winter for the county assessor, made his report and turned in his books.
Here for the funeral service are his brothers, S.L. Ripley of Frederick,
Okla., Jim Ripley of Eureka Springs, a brother and H.P. Ripley of Dellis, Okla. Sue Broedecker, a sister of Purdy,
Okla., Mrs. Ella Johnson, Estelline, Texas, Wm. Poor, Fairview. Three children are left: Jesse, Pearl and Grace, Mrs. Ripley passed away about two years ago.

GEORGE RIPLEY WAS LAID AWAY A BIG FUNERAL
Methodist Church is Crowded With Masons in Charge of Services at the Cemetery
The funeral of Uncle George Ripley yesterday afternoon at two-o'clock was attended by hundreds of citizens of Sapulpa who mourned the passing of Sapulpa's first pioneer. The owner of the Ripley hotel who has been a familiar figure on the streets for so many years was a
member of many fraternal orders all of whom attended the funeral in a body and with the mass of other citizens filled the First M. E. Church to overflowing and made a long procession to the cemetery where the Masons took charge of the services. Rev. Lemmon preached the funeral oration taking as his text the sixth verse of the fortieth chapter of
Isaiah, "All Flesh is Grace."
He was assisted in the service by Rev. Ingraham of the Christian church and Rev. Cantrell of the South M.E. church. Besides the Masons the I.O.O.F. the
Rebekahs and the Eastern Star attended the services. The procession to the cemetery was one of the longest ever seen in Sapulpa.
