Roy S. Rives, 89, died Friday, Aug. 12, 1995 at his home in Ada.
Services were scheduled for 3:50 p.m. today at Criswell Chapel with the Res. Guy and bob Langston officiating. Burial will be in Rosedale Cemetery, directed by Criswell Funeral Home, Ada.
He was born Nov. 7, 1905 in Stephens County to William M. and Sarahann Elizabeth Lovell Rives.
He attended grade school in Duncan and high school in Chickasha. He received fingerprint certification from the University of Oklahoma. He worked as a Federal
Prohibition officer, at the Chickasha Police Department and as a special agent for the Frisco Railroad for 33 years in Birmingham, Ala., Ada, Tulsa, Okmulgee and Sapulpa. He was a member of Oklahoma Sheriffs and Peace Officers since 1932 and Ada Lodge No. 119 AF & AM for 46 years. He attended First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Azalia Rives, of the home; a daughter, Melba Jane DONAGHEY, Ada; a brother, Tom Rives, Crane, Texas; three grandsons; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Member of Ada Lodge No. 119 AF & AM will serve as bearers.
