Rev. Everett R. Roberts, 81, 109 W. Mill, died Tuesday at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa.

Services are scheduled for 2 pm Saturday at South Heights Assembly of God.

Burial will follow at South Heights Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

Rev. Roberts was born Feb 10, 1911, in Wheeler, Ark. A longtime Sapulpa resident, he built South Heights Assembly of God, where he ministered for 22 years. He also established June Rose Assembly of God.

Rev. Roberts pastored churches in Kellyville, Barnsdall and Wetumka, also Tulia and Grand Falls, Texas. He married Volita Tunnell on Dec 24, 1934, in Drumright.

Survivors include his wife, Volita; daughters Mrs. Ronnie (Colleen) Johnston of Jenks and Mrs. Bob (Sharon) Granger of Moore; brothers Ernest Roberts of Oklahoma City, Jap Roberts of California, and Gaines Roberts of Sapulpa; sister Rosie Stockton of Sapulpa; and three grandchildren.

Funeral services for Rev. E.R. Roberts were held Saturday at South Heights Assembly of God with the Revs. Arman Newburn, Gary Thiessen and Vernon Brummett officiating.

Burial followed at South Heights Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

Casketbearers were Carl Roberts, Clyde Roberts, Joe Jackson, Albert York, Don Harris and Ron Cook.

Honorary bearers were Tony Foxx, Calvin Patterson, Charlie Nation, Wayne Martin, Jim Wood, Larry Eddy and Delbert Reynolds.
