R. J. (Pete) Roberts, 63, of Sapulpa, died Friday at St. John Medical Center, Tulsa.

Services are set for 2:30 pm Monday at June Rose Assembly of God Church, Sapulpa, with the Revs. Ron Billings and Jim Ballard officiating.

Burial will be at Green Hills Memorial Gardens, Sapulpa, under the direction of Owen Funeral Home.

Casket bearers will be Don Harris, Steve Carter, L.C. Rice, Dub Jester, Rick Fittspatrick and Phillip York. Honorary bearers will be Clyde Hendrix, Pat Riley, Kennon Garvin, Troy Woggins, Harold York and Granvil Pilant.

Mr. Roberts was born Feb 17, 1924, in Bixby and lived in this area all of his life. He was a member of the June Rose Assembly of God Church.

He retired in 1982 from Sun Oil Co. after 39 years as a lab technician. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Survivors include wife Mary; mother Martha H. Turner of Sapulpa; sons Richard E. of Okay, OK, and Robert D. of Sapulpa; daughter Pat Boomer of Kellyville; brother Clyde D. Roberts Jr. of Tulsa; sisters Verna Mae Clark of Sapulpa, Norma Jordan and Geri Sherkat, both of Tulsa; and six grandchildren.
