TAKEN BY DEATH
Pioneer Sapulpa woman age 92 SUCCUMBS; RITES TO BE HELD TOMORROW
Mrs. Mary E. Rose, age 92, pioneer resident of Sapulpa died at her home at 316
South Elm street shortly after noon yesterday. She had been bedfast since a
paralytic stroke in September.
She is survived by one son C.E. Rose; two brothers David Sheets of Sapulpa and
Harvey Sheets of St. Louis, Mo. Several grand children and great grand children
also survive.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 2:30 o'clock at the Landrith funeral
chapel with Dr. P. J. Conkwright and Rev. A. B. Roberts of Rush Springs
conducting the services. Burial will be made in South Heights.
Pall bearers for the service will be Will Bayless, Les Snider, John Young, Lon
McKenzie, W. B. Mathis and J. U. Whiteside.
Mrs. Rose came to Sapulpa in 1901 and has been active in welfare and church work
throughout her life. She was born April 16, 1848 in Ohio and was married in
Clark county Missouri in November ?, 1873.
Her late husband Richard W. Rose preceded her in death in Feb of 1931.
