PRYOR, Okla. – Mildred Hope Rowell, 80, died Monday, March 1, 1999, in Drumright, Okla.
Graveside services were 2 pm Tuesday in Graham Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Gleen Lewis officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Key Funeral Home.
Mrs. Rowell was born Sept. 26, 1918, in Alabam, Ark. She and Earl Rowell were married Sept. 8, 1951, in Oilton, Okla. She grew up and attended school in Salina. She than attended Draughon’s Business Institute in Tulsa and Brevard Junior College in Coca Beach, Fla. She had worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company as an assignment officer in Tulsa and in Shawnee. She lived in Wichita Falls for 25 years before moving to Drumright eight months ago. She was a member of the Women of the Moose Lodge in Melbourne, Fla., Woodmen of the World and AARP. She was a member of Shasta Baptist Church in Wichita Falls.
Survivors include three sisters, Alice Gregory of Shawnee, Mary Allen of Tulsa and Jimmie J. Cook of Drumright; three nieces; and four nephews.
