Herbert Rowland, 71, 315 W. Lee, died Saturday in an Oklahoma City Hospital.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 pm Tuesday at the Smith Funeral Chapel with the Rev. T. Howard Allen officiating.

Burial will follow in the Green Hills Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Rowland was born May 29, 1919 in Alma, KS, and lived in Sapulpa most of his life.

He was a retired construction worker, an Army veteran of World War II, a member of the Disabled American Veterans, Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion.

Survivors include sister Rosie McCarthy of Sapulpa and brother Benny Menoz of Amarillo, TX.

Military services will be conducted by the three Creek County veterans organizations.

Casketbearers were Andy Tuttle, Bucky Gable, Jay Mount, Jim Downey, Charles Rivett Jr. and Charles Rivett Sr.

Mr. Rowland, a longtime area resident, retired construction worker and World War II veteran, died Saturday at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Oklahoma City.
