Mrs. Ethel C. Rutherford, 93, Stroud, OK, died today at Stroud Health Center.

Services will be 2 pm Friday at Stroud Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Glenn Rice officiating.

Burial will be at Stroud Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

She was born Feb 19, 1894, in Forsyth, MO. She lived in Stroud most of her life. She was preceded in death by her husband, George A. “Slim”.

Mrs. Rutherford was a member of the Stroud Pentecostal Church and the Rebekah Lodge.

Survivors include sons Elzie of Twenty-nine Palms, CA, Vernon of Oklahoma City and George Jr. of McPherson, KS; daughters Juanita Cheever of Stroud and Madia Sontag of Sapulpa; sister Alma Porter of Seminole, OK; 20 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

The family will be headquartered at the Cheever home, 910 W. 4th, in Stroud.
