Mr. David E. Ryker Sr., 78, Tulsa, died Thursday at St Francis Hospital, Tulsa.

Services will be 11 am Saturday at John Knox Presbyterian Church, Tulsa, with the Revs. Caliborne Bell and Sharon Mook officiating.

Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Tulsa, under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

He was born Sep 20, 1908, in Galena, AR. He served in the Seabees during World War II. He was also a graduate of Oklahoma A. & M. College in Stillwater. He was employed as the extension editor at the University of Arkansas from 1957 until his retirement in 1976.

Mr. Ryker moved to Tulsa two years ago from Little Rock, AR. He was the national president of the American Association of Agricultural Editors and a member of the John Knox Presbyterian Church. At the age of 23, he was the youngest elder in the Presbyterian churches in Oklahoma.

Survivors include wife Louise; and son Dr. David E. Ryker Jr. of Tulsa.
