Updated: 06 Sep 2009 SAWYER, Wayne Wayne Sawyer, 63, Route 1, died Tuesday at St. Francis Hospital. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 am Thursday at Smith Funeral Chapel with Rev. W. C. Hamilton officiating. Burial is to follow in Green Hills Memorial Gardens under the direction Smith Funeral Home. Sawyer was born June 25, 1930 in Haysville, NC. He came to Sapulpa in 1937. He was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and a member of the North Heights Free will Baptist Church. He was retired. Survivors include wife Virginia of the home; daughters Paula Miller of Sand Springs, LaWayna Dalessandro of Tulsa and JuLayne Trimble of Bartlesville; brother Jow Sawyer of Sapulpa; sister Frankie Thompson of Sapulpa, and four grandchildren. The casket will not be opened at anytime. The family will headquarter at the Sawyer residence west of Sapulpa. |
