Connie Jo Selsor, 52, passed away on Saturday, May 26, 2001, at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa.

She was an exceptionally strong person, who, with the help of her Lord, is finally victorious over her two-year fight with cancer.

She had many professions in her lifetime, of which she thought the most important was being a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed sitting outside under the maple trees, visiting with her family.

She was born Dec. 27, 1948 to Ed and Marcella Whitchurch of Kiefer. She was married to Paul Selsor Sept. 5, 1967. She graduated from Kiefer High School, Draughn Business School and Brookside Beauty College.

Survivors are her husband, Paul L. Selsor of Glenpool; a son, John P. Selsor and his wife, Kerri, of Sapulpa; daughters, Paula J. Ford and her husband, Tommy, of Bixby and Kelli J.A. Burch and her husband, Jimmy, of Glenpool; grandchildren, Lauren and Haley Selsor, Tyler Ford and Garon Burch; her parents, Ed and Marcella Whitchurch of Kiefer; a sister, Bernice Duty of Inola; two brothers, Eddie and John Whitchurch of Kiefer; and several other relatives and close friends.

Her testament in life as well as in death can be summed up by her favorite verse:

"But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk and not faint." -Isaiah 40:31

Mom, we thank you for devoting your life to us and for always being strong, even though you didn't feel well enough to do so. We will always love and miss you. We will forever remember that God gave us our wings, but you were the one who taught us how to fly.

Services are set for 10:30 am Thursday, May 31, 2001, at Green Hill Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Green Hill Memorial Gardens.

Green Hill Funeral Home of Sapulpa is in charge of arrangements.
