Carl M. Sherman, 86, 524 N. Moccasin Pl., died Saturday at Bartlett Memorial Medical Center.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11 am Tuesday at Smith Funeral Chapel with the Rev. John Hall officiating.

Burial will follow at South Heights Cemetery.

He was born Oct 26, 1905, in Calhoun City, Miss., and was a Sapulpa resident for more than 50 years. He was retired from the Frisco Railroad. He was a member and deacon of Westside Baptist Church, was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Brotherhood of Maintenance of Farmers' Food Store in Sapulpa.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth, in 1988.

Survivors include son James Sherman of Lubbock, Texas; brother Q.C. Sherman of Oklahoma City; sister Carie Shedd of Oxford, Miss.; and two grandchildren.
