Mr. John William Sherman, 83, 102 E. Line, died Thursday at Northside Nursing Center.

Services will be 3 pm Monday at Smith Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Homer Barricks officiating.

Burial will be at South Heights Cemetery.

Mr. Sherman was born April 3, 1904, in Lamar, Okla. Before his retirement, he was employed by the state highway department.

He moved to Sapulpa four years ago from Bristow. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World Was II and member of the Pentecostal Church.

Survivors include a cousin Marvin Roberts of Del City, Okla.
