Updated: 06 Sep 2009 SHERMAN, Myrtle Myrtle Ilene Sherman, 68, 401 W. Galaxy, Sapulpa, died Tuesday at Bartlett memorial Medical Center. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 am Thursday, at Lighthouse Fellowship Church with Rev. Ivan Lopes officiating. Burial will follow at South Heights Cemetery under the direction of Owen Funeral Home. She was born March 28, 1925, to George and Effie Haile Shelton, in Welty. She married Alfred Sherman in Sapulpa on June 9, 1941. Sherman was a longtime Sapulpa resident, a member of the Christian faith and a member of Lighthouse Fellowship Church. She was a retired homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred, and brother, Delmer Shelton. Survivors include sons, Allen Sherman of Glenpool; daughters, Charlene Wolfe and Barbara Sherman, both of Sapulpa; brothers, Don Shelton and Kenneth Shelton, both of Sapulpa; sisters, Maxine Owens of Sapulpa and Artie Buchanan of Kellyville; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Casketbearers will be Wayne Mayeaux, Rex Reynolds, Nub Boggs, Mike Kimball, Johnny Nation and Joe Wallace. The family will headquarter at 206 West Laura in Sapulpa.
