November 21, 2005 Jackie Wayne Short, 55,
passed from this earth Friday, Nov. 18, 2005.
He was born May 5, 1950, to Clarence Short and Rhoda Robertson
in Southwest City, Mo. He spent his younger years in Miami.
Working as a framing contractor he went everywhere across the
United States with the motto 'Do it Right.' He eventually
settled in the Tulsa area, at which time he launched a new
career and became a mechanical contractor, combining his
knowledge of heat and air and carpentry.
Jackie became a maintenance supervisor with Country Club Gardens
at the time his illness took him. He married in the early ?80s
to his soul mate Billie Jean Short ?Cloud.? He fathered one
daughter, Sheila Bullard, who loves her daddy, along with two
step sons, Frank and Shawn Buckallew, of whom he was very proud.
In addition to family time, Jackie enjoyed time spent fishing,
gardening and loving his critters. Jack is loved and will be
missed by all who knew him.
Jackie is survived by his wife Billie, of the home; daughter
Sheila Bullard and her husband Dale, of Commerce; step-sons
Frank Buckallew and his wife Trish, of Vinita, Shawn Buckallew,
of Afton; brother Bobby Short, of Royal City, Wash.; sisters
Norma Northrup, of Lincoln, Neb., Barbara Short, of Calif.,
Washington, Lorene Graham of Manson, Christine Short O'Toole, of
Tulsa, Shirley Donald, of Reno, Nev.; sister-in-law Charlene
Short, of Bellingham, Wash.; and nine grandchildren and
step-grandchildren.
There will be a family visitation from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the
Smith Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2005 at the
Smith Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be under the
direction of the Smith Funeral Home
