Edith L. Cook Simmons
Former longtime Wenatchee resident Edith L. Simmons, 72, of Chelan, died Friday, December 20, 1991 in Lake Chelan Community Hospital at Chelan.
She was born October 12, 1919 to Olen and Annie (Danenhour) Cook at Kellyville, Oklahoma. Annie was an original Choctaw enrollee. She married Chris Simmons on July 7, 1939 at Bentonville, Arkansas. They moved to Washington in 1941 and lived at Wenatchee until moving to Chelan four years ago.
Survivors include her husband, at home; a son, Olen Simmons of Wenatchee; a daughter, Annette Robinson of Reno, Nevada; and one grandson, David Robinson of Seattle, Washington and two great-grandson's, David and Olen Robinson of Anchorage, Alaska.
The Rev. Kenneth Briggs officiated. Private Committal and interment west at Wenatchee Cemetery, next to her mother.
