Birdie Chapman Simmons, 91, of Kansas City MO died Wednesday in Kansas City.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 pm Monday at the Smith Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Richard Simmons officiating.

Burial will follow in the Green Hills Memorial Gardens under the direction of the Smith Funeral Home.

Birdie was born August 21, 1901 in Kiefer and moved to Sapulpa in 1957 from Jenks. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband Homer Simmons, in 1975, and sons Homer and Richard.

She is survived by sisters, Aline Dodgion, Mable Dudley and Gladys Heflin; nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Birdie Chapman Simmons, 91, formerly of Sapulpa and now of Kansas City, Mo., died Wednesday in Kansas City.
