SELDON SKAGGS

Seldon Skaggs, 79, of Houston, Texas, formerly of Paden and Dewey, died Saturday
in Houston.
Funeral services were held at 2 pm Tuesday at Hutchins-Maples Chapel in
Bristow with Owen Dry of Houston, Texas, officiating.
Burial followed in the Oakdale Cemetery in Depew under the direction of
Hutchins-Maples Funeral Home of Bristow.
He was a retired Creek County Highway Department employee and was also a cotton
gin operator at one time. He attended school in Depew and enjoyed fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Ecy Knapp and Fanny
Snyder and a daughter, Linda Jean.
Survivors include his wife, Lois; daughters, Carol McGee of Houston, July Powell
of New Caney, Texas; sons, Harold Skaggs and Osa Skaggs, both of Houston, Texas,
and Don Skaggs of Paden; brother, Johnny Skaggs of McLoud; sisters, Dolly Goad
of Oklahoma City, Plura Berryhill of Arlington, Texas; 15 grandchildren and 13
great-grandchildren.
