Edward Glen Skelly
(February 4, 1934 - June 16, 2008)
Memorial
services for Edward Glen Skelly 74, were 7 pm Wed June 18,
2008,at Fellowship Freewill Baptist Church, at Sapulpa, Okla.
Pastor Chris Lindsay and Pastor Eddie Riley officiating.
Mr. Skelly died June 16, 2008, at Clarehouse in Tulsa, Okla.
surrounded by loving family members.
He was born in Jones, Okla. to Dan York Skelly and Stella Mae
(Lee) Skelly. He attended schools in Oklahoma City and then
enlisted into the United States Army.
He married Carmen Zamarripa March 29, 1986, in Tulsa, Okla. He
lived in Jenks, Okla. for 15 years before moving to Tulsa. He
attended North Heights Freewill Baptist Church.
He worked as a truck driver for E. L. Powell Trucking Comp. for
15 years, AKT, Callico Trucking and MS Carriers and before he
retired, he worked for CFI Trucking Company out of Joplin, Mo.
In his spare time he enjoyed traveling, fishing, and doing
carpentry work and playing his guitar.
He was preceded in death by both his parents: Dan and Stella
Skelly; his sister, and great granddaughter.
He is survived by his wife: Carmen Skelly; his children: Brenda
Bohannon, Rhonda Heimdale, Margaret Walters, Mary Ann Riley,
Paul Skelly, Glenda Ashcraft, David W. Skelly, David A. Skelly,
Simon Lopez, Constance Lopez, Nina Davis, Antoinette Wade, Mary
Widowski, Kathleen Lopez; his brother: Richard Martinez, seven
sisters in-law, three brothers in-law along with forty
grandchildren; thirty-four great grandchildren.
Arrangements were entrusted to Daniel C. Schaudt of Schaudt's
Glenpool Funeral Service and Cremation Care.
