Louis Ira "Steph" Smith, 69, of Claremore, died Sunday in Tulsa.

Graveside services are to be held at 10 am Thursday at South Heights Cemetery with Rev. Millard McGuire officiating.

Burial will follow under the direction of Spivey Funeral Home.

Smith was born Oct 23, 1924 to Louis Ira and Clara Mae Thompson Smith in Sapulpa. Smith was a machinist and a butcher and served in the Army during World War II. He was a member of the American Legion, the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Disabled American Veterans. He is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters.

He is survived by sons Louis Eugene Smith of Catoosa, Michael Smith of Sayre; daughters Karen Magee of Mounds, Crystal Karre of Kellyville and Kimberly Smith Manley of Sapulpa; sister Margaret Foster of Morris; brothers John Smith of Beggs and Henry Smith of Mounds; and nine grandchildren.
