RAYMOND LEWIS 'SNOOKEY' SMITH, JR.
Raymond Lewis “Snookey” Smith was born July 16, 1972 in Sapulpa at Bartlett
Hospital and was killed on Mother’s Day, May 14, 2000, in Sapulpa at the age
of 27. Snookey was a good son and a loving brother.
He leaves behind many family and friends. He loved to wrestle and made third in
the State of Oklahoma, while living in Glenpool. He also loved spending time
with his beloved daughter, Samantha. Outside of his daughter, family and
wrestling, he also enjoyed motorcycle riding. Attended Yauapai College and was a
welder by trade.
Snookey leaves behind his devoted mother, Toby Ann DALE; his father, Raymond
Lewis Smith Sr.; beloved brother, David Dale Smith; loving daughter, Samantha
Nicole Phillips-Smith; and stepfather, Howard Dale.
He also leaves Samuauel T. PARTRIDGE of New York; his grandmother, Evelyn Q.
Partridge of Arizona; great-grandmother, Nancy MONTANO of Arizona; and his
aunts, Christine COOK of Arizona, Joni Partridge of Arizona, Nancy OWENS of
Arizona; and uncles, Sammy D. Partridge of Oklahoma, Robbin Partridge of Arizona
and Howard Smith of Oklahoma; and cousins, Mark FEELING of Arizona and Kevin
Feeling of Georgia.
We will sorely miss his beautiful smile and free spirit. But one day we will all
see him again.
Services will be held Wednesday, May 17, 2000, 7 to 9 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home
in Sapulpa. On Thursday, May 18, 2000, at 2 p.m. services will be at Solid Rock
Indian Church at Glenpool with interment at the South
Heights Cemetery in Sapulpa.
