STAIGER, Max Max Gary Staiger, 67, Kellyville, died Sunday at his home. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 am Wednesday at the First Baptist Church in Kellyville with the Revs. Rick Bateman and Gary Staiger officiating. Burial is scheduled to follow in Kellyville Cemetery under the direction of Owen Funeral Home. Staiger was born Nov 8, 1925 in Tulsa to Joe and Eva Rhoades Staiger, He was self-employed as the owner of Staiger Grocery and Hardware in Kellyville. He was married July 21, 1947 in Sapulpa to Edra Eloise Whittenton. He spent most of his life in this area coming from Tulsa. He was a Methodist and supporter of the Kellyville community. He loved fishing and travel. He was preceded in death by sister Pauline Coons March 5, 1993. The family will headquarter at the family home, 109 S. Beech. The family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society. Survivors include wife Eloise of the home, sons Rev. Gary Staiger, Larry Staiger and Mark Staiger, all of Kellyville; daughters Debbie Boyd and Libby Banks, both of Kellyville; and 10 grandchildren. (Additional information not in above obituary) STAIGER, Max Gary Max Gary Staiger of Kellyville, much beloved husband, daddy, and grandpa went to be with the Lord October 31, 1993. Max was a life-long resident of Kellyville. Max worked in his father's store, Staiger General Merchandise, which was established in 1917. Max bought the business and he, his wife, children and grandchildren operated it until Max and Eloise retired in August, 1992. Max is survived by his wife, Eloise, of the home, sons and daughters-in-law: Gary and Tricia Staiger, Larry and Tedene Staiger and Mark and Glenda Staiger, his daughters and sons-in-law: Debby and DeWayne Boyd and Libby and Randall Banks, all of Kellyville. Also, brothers Wayne of Tulsa, Roy (Keith) of Spavinaw and Vance of Kellyville. Grandchildren, Traci, Dusty, Jennifer, Nick, Matt, Lauri, Kara, and Marcie Staiger, Brandon Boyd and Chelsea Banks. (Additional information not in above two obituaries) STAIGER, Max Casketbearers were to be Dwight Davidson, Carl Hampton, Jerry Bussett, Lester Yocham, Buddy Basker and Billy Tridmore. Honorary casketbearers were to be Mack Spry, Jimmy Davidson, Gene Hellard, Forest Swan, Roy Waltrip and Larry McGuire. |
