STANLEY, Virginia Virginia Lee (Bales) Stanley, 47, of Mounds, died Friday in Mounds. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 pm Monday at Hickory Ground No. 1 with Rev. Mitchell Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Soweka Cemetery under the direction of Merritt Funeral Service of Henryetta. Casketbearers will be Floyd W. Bales, Walter Leroy Bales, Jerry A. Bales, Glen D. French, Don Tiger and Terry Whitehead. Honorary bearers will be Mike Luster and Glen Mattison. She was born Dec 11, 1945, in Claremore and attended school in the Tulsa area. She was a homemaker and of the Christian faith. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lillie (Harjo) Bales and brothers Robert Lee and Michael Lee Bales. Survivors include father, Floyd Lee Bales of Tulsa; daughter Jaylene Virlee Stanley of Tulsa; son David Ray Stanley of Tulsa; brothers Floyd W. Bales of Morris, Jerry A. Bales of Newark, CA, Ernest Tiger of Tahlequah and Walter Leroy Bales and Mel Ray Bales, both of Tulsa; sisters Ruth (Bales) Green of Mounds, Carlene Leona Barrett of Sapulpa, Deloris Ferguson of Edmond and Doris Unap of Skiatook; and four grandchildren. |
