Roy L. Stephens, 56, 1130 E. Teresa, died Monday at his home. A rosary service is scheduled for 7:30 pm Wednesday at Smith Funeral Chapel Funeral services are scheduled for 10 am Thursday at St. Catherine Catholic Church, Tulsa, with the Revs. Chris Daigle and Thomas Melton officiating.

Entombment will follow in Green Hills Mausoleum. Mr. Stephens was born May 7, 1935, in Sunrise, and graduated from Sapulpa High School in 1954. He married Evelyn Schlect on May 27, 1955, in Sapulpa. He managed several Otasco stores and two warehouses, retiring after 37 years with the company. He was working as manager of Pep Boys Automotive in Tulsa, and was a member of the St. Catherine Catholic Church, Sacred Hearts Men's Club an the Otasco Diamond Club.

Survivors include wife Evelyn Schlect Stephens, mother of Ruby Viefhaus of Sapulpa; sons Jeff Stephens and David Stephens, both of Tulsa; Michael Stephens of Sapulpa; daughters Suzie Moore of Sapulpa, Nancy Stephens of Tulsa; Brenda Stephens of Little Rock, Ark; brother Junior Stephens of Miami; sister Bonnie Spears of Sapulpa; and two grandchildren.

The family requests that in lieu of other remembrances donations be made to the Saint Francis Hospice or American Cancer Society.

Funeral services for Roy L. Stephens were held today at St. Catherine Catholic Church with Father Chris Daigle, Father Thomas Melton and Jerry Mattox officiating.

Entombment followed at Green Hills Mausoleum under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

Casketbearers were Bill Thompson, Ken LaFavre, Jay Wesley, Bob Fiegle, Tom Richie and Don Boyne.

Honorary bearers were Bob Behl, Hugh Riley, Charles Longenbaugh, Lawrence Wilkie, Dana James, Bill Woodward, Herman Medlock, Vic Taylor, Ed Biggs, Tommy Brown, Charles Hasley, Louis Kopp, Roger Garvin and Harry Emory.

Mr. Stephens died Monday evening at his home.
