STEPP, John Robert

BRISTOW - Mr. John Robert Stepp, 63, of Bristow, died Wednesday in the Bristow
Hospital.
He was born June 15, 1924, in Tulsa, and had lived in Bristow for 23 years,
moving there from Cushing. Mr. Stepp retired as a supervisor from Southwest
Packaging in December 1986. Prior to that, he was a salesman for Phillips
Petroleum Co.
Mr. Stepp was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, member of the V.F.W., St.
Alban's Episcopal Church of Cushing.
Survivors include his wife Betty of the home, one son Terry Steele of
Washington, D.C.; five daughters Melinda Williams and Alison Bethel, both of
Bristow, Sherry Baker, Debora Laughlin and Glenda Osburn, all of Sapulpa; one
brother, Charles of Tulsa; two sisters Virginia Mattingly of Catoosa and Mary
Smittle of Bartlesville; 11 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Services were at 2 pm today at First Christian Church in Bristow with Father
Vincent Hoying of Tulsa officiating.
Burial will be in Magnolia Memorial
Gardens with arrangement by Schumacher Funeral Home of Bristow.
